So I'm sure a lot of people have heard of the concept of "continuous improvement" or (as its better known in self-help circles), the idea of improving "1% every day". There are a lot of ways in which this idea frankly falls short, not least because it tries to apply the already faulty capitalistic idea of continual profit increases to daily human life, but the fundamental goal of continuously trying to improve or somehow better one's life isn't necessarily a bad one. It's possible that many of my goals in life will never come to fruition, but the time put into them isn't a loss, especially if those goals use tiny changes to add up to huge benefits.

These are my own personal goals and accomplishments throughout time. They're not built out of SMART goals (though I do recommend SMART goals, especially to anyone who struggles with or finds goal setting difficult), but out of my own lifetime experiences with what has worked for me, what hasn't, and things I find useful as perpetual goals (where the goal post doesn't move, I just deliberately re-start tracking my progress regularly). If you find this kind of thing inspiring or useful in any way, please feel free to adapt it. And please feel free to ping me about it on bsky; I love hearing about others' successes as much as I enjoy achieving my own!
