Hello, friends!

Call me Cara or Owen. I'm old enough to feel nostalgia for the early days of the internet prior to the homogenization of it via Web 2.0, so this is my little corner of fond feelings toward the way things were. I had a Geocities once upon a time, and an Angelfire that...theoretically still exists, but we won't talk about that. Once upon a time I built my personal websites by slicing images in Photoshop and turning everything into iFrames, but I've long forgotten those skills. I have a day job as a copy editor and a night job as an FFXIV raider. I'm passionate about the Oxford comma, despite it having fallen out of common use.

Collected here are chunks of my favorites or things I've enjoyed for one reason or another. I don't necessarily recommend the various things I've enjoyed over the years, but I sure do like 'em. I'll also have solo play RPG logs as I get them typed/scanned/pick one, collections of my TTRPG characters I've played or am playing, and eventually other bits and bobs, too. The site is a continual work in progress while I slowly remember all the coding tricks I swear I knew once upon a time.

If we must bend to the whims of modern SocMed, find me on BlueSky and drop me a follow. Or just stare at me for a while until the doomscrolling becomes exhausting and you succumb to sleep. Either is fine. I do both pretty often, so no hard feelings whichever you land on.
