The eldest child and only son of a matriarchal business house, Emmyth is content in the knowledge that his sister Cecily, who he adores, will inherit and that he is arranged to be married to a woman he's never met, but who will bring a great deal of much coveted capital to his family upon the union. Even so, Emmyth longs for adventure and is always thirsty for new knowledge, so under the (not terribly clever) pseudonym Leander Farraday, he steals a family heirloom and determines to go see what he can of the world before settling into his eventual role as husband.
Emmyth is a School of Divination Wizard, like all trained wizards in his family. He also very literally has more money than sense, with starting gold of 200GP and a starting WIS stat of...8. He's extremely excited prospect of a Jane Austen brand "liason", and outsiders are convince he's the other party wizard's slightly dim boyfriend to the hilarity of the non-wizard members of the party. Oops...
Tragically, Emmyth found himself on the wrong side of an angry drider's many limbs and died, cutting his life of adventure (and his life in general) quite short. Though his family was easily able to obtain the materials (and services of a spellcaster) to restore him to life, the event marked the end of his days outside of familial duties. Just fine with him, really. Death is kind of traumatic.
